Join the Dots Design Tour 2013 is a brand, which aim is to promote Graphic Design students at their three end of year shows.
The aim was to promote Graphic Design students end of year shows, which took place in three locations Weston-super-Mare, Bristol and London.
Students wanted to encourage people from the industry to come to the event. This way they would promote themselves as designers and show their full potential hence get job offers.
< BRIEF >
Students needed a theme that would identify them as a group together without overshadowing their own identities as individual designers. Ultimately they wanted to make a connection with industry and get them a job. The main message was the connection between themselves, society and the industry. It was to be quirky-connected-mindset.
Like musicians or other artist touring for a period of time in different locations, they would showcase their work.
< WE DID >
The dots are connected to one another and connecting to the world. It is a call to action, for the audience to come up with their own conclusions and to invite them to join the students.
The logo is a simple idea of connection with industries. It is made out of 14 dots connected with each other into the word: JOIN.
Colour coding is used to represent each city. The brand has been applied onto different elements such as posters, invitations, yearbook, website etc.
